Enjoy learning about some of our current members and reading about their agility partners.

Shelby

Shelby started agility with her first agility dog Mila as a way for the two of them to bond. It wasn't long until the two of them discovered how much they loved the sport and joined the Hot Diggity Dogs Agility Club.  As Mila is now recently retired, Shelby has added a second agility partner to her life, Luke a young Border Collie. Luke is a fun, energetic boy that LOVES to run.

Tammy

Tammy runs a Aussie boy by the name of Steel and are extremely successful in both demo races and on the agility field.

Tammy herself has years of experience in agility. Though I am sure she likes all K9's, I am sure one of her favorites is the Aussie!

Tammy has a new Aussie Echo who she has been starting in Agility. Echo has taken to this new game with lots of Enthusiasm. Also waiting in the wings is Tammy's newest addition to her pack an Aussie by the name of Mocha. Mocha has had great success in his agility career!

Carolyn

Carolyn and Briar Rose, Briar Rose is Carolyn’s first agility dog. Briar Rose is a rough collie (like Lassie!) They got into agility together when Briar was 2 years old as it had been a long time goal of Carolyn’s to try. Agility has been a great way to have fun together, train and deepen their connection. Carolyn loves the community of people and dogs that agility brings together, the supportive and playful environment and the opportunities to spend time with Briar working together and accomplishing goals. Whether at practices, seminars, demonstrations or trials, playing agility with Briar is time well spent!

Shelly

Shelly started teaching agility classes in 1994, and taught classes at her home in Lacombe and for the Red Deer & District Kennel Club. She continued to teach agility and obedience for GCS, a local Red Deer pet store and training centre. Shelly’s first agility dog was Abbey, a Wire-haired Pointing Griffon.
Usually once in your lifetime you own a true heart dog, but Shelly was fortunate to have had 2, an Aussie Rudy & a Sheltie Zipper. They showed Shelly how exciting this sport could be! After their passing Shelly continues to compete with her Sheltie Reign. Reign has been a true learning experience. He began his agility career at 2 but went thru a traumatic incident and was afraid to go anywhere near an agility building, or anywhere for that matter. Shelly took 2 years off and just played with him and built up his confidence again and has just started back competing.
Shelly also has a GSD “Forge” who came into her home at a year old. Forge was a preemie and a singleton, so as you can imagine it has been a learning curve. He is now 2 years old, and she is patiently waiting for his brain to catch up with his body. Shelly is hoping to show off some moves with her Sheltie Reign this year and continue to build their relationship.
